Role of the centre

As a new member in the project, E-CLIC Hannover deals with the following fields of research and initiatives:


Creating a new enviroment for media business in Lower Saxony with the involvement of E-CLIC partners: 
Establishment a LivingLab Hannover for science, development and technological transfer:
„Planet MID“ (ancient Expo pavilion of Bertelsmann AG).

Conception and establishment of an institution to realize a regional network: "Creative Cluster Industries"

Rethinking the production of  multimedia content for the world wide web, IPTV and smartphones.

Developing new services according on the evolution of web 2.0 e.g. in the field of eHealth

  • A number of private media and ICT companies will participate as stakeholders

Background of Partners

University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hannover has around 6,000 students in 39 degree programs located in different places

50 professors, 14 teaching staff members for special tasks and 80 assistant professors

There are about 1,600 students in faculty III – „Media, Information and Design“. Faculty is located in the area of „Expo 2000“
